There is a large room in the centre of the hotel's lobby, which was once used as a
restaurant. The large space is today available for whoever wants to use it to
organise parties or religious celebrations. The fundamental principle is sharing
and collective organisation: even a birthday or christening must be planned and
organised with the consensus and participation of at least part of the hotel's
inhabitants.
At 4Stelle there are various Orthodox Christians and Copts who, as with the
Muslim community, come from different parts of the world: from the Horn of
Africa to Eastern Europe. The Orthodox Christians' and Copts' celebrations take
place on the same days, as is the case with Easter.
Spending celebrations together is a way of getting to know, in a moment of
spiritual and domestic sharing, the people who live in the hotel: food, music,
dance and prayer render words superfluous and allow the compassion of a
celebration day to unite men and women who come from such different
countries with different stories.
